Anfiro (no longer active) was working on high permeability and energy-efficient membranes to reduce the cost and energy of desalination and water treatment.

Their self-assembling polymers created chlorine resistant and high permeability reverse osmosis membranes that outperformed current membrane technology, which had the potential to reduce the cost of desalinating and purifying water.
