
Support Organizations for Los Angeles Wildfire Relief
The Prime Coalition team has compiled a list of organizations offering support and resources to residents and first responders impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. We encourage you to explore these resources if you or someone you know has been affected by the fires. If you're looking to help Los Angeles and are able to support, please consider contributing to an organization that resonates with you. The following organizations are seeking monetary donations, physical contributions, or in-person volunteers.

Aid Type: Children and Family Assistance
Description of Resource: Baby2Baby is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing children living in poverty nationwide with diapers, clothing, and other essential items. The organization is working with over 470 partner organizations in LA County to meet requests for these necessities and to offer ongoing support.

Description of Resource: The California Community Foundation is an LA-based organization focused on Southern California. Beyond providing immediate relief, they concentrate on medium and long-term recovery efforts in fire-affected areas.

Description of Resource: The California Fire Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides emotional and financial assistance to firefighters, their fallen comrades' families, and the communities they serve.

Calvary Community Church
Aid Type: Shelter and Emergency Support
Description of Resource: Calvary Community Church has formed a Fire Response Team with local churches, the LA Dream Center, and the Red Cross. This team offers immediate assistance to families affected by disasters by providing food, clothing, and temporary housing. Additionally, they have set up the Calvary Disaster Relief Fund to support victims of the Palisades fire.

Description of Resource: The Los Angeles County Psychological Association represents over 5,570 licensed psychologists in Los Angeles County, addressing the community's mental health needs. They are compiling and providing a list of emergency services, shelter resources, and information on mental health and emotional support.

Description of Resource: The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation provides essential equipment and funds critical programs to support the LAFD in saving lives and protecting communities. The Foundation urgently seeks donations to equip LAFD firefighters with the necessary equipment and supplies for battling wildfires.

Description of Resource: MySafe:LA collaborates with the Los Angeles City Fire Department to enhance community resilience and public safety. They have organized the LA Wildfire Protection Plan to assist communities in preparing for and responding to wildfires.

They will collaborate with city leaders and nonprofit organizations to assess the best ways to allocate their resources for those most affected by the Eaton fire.

Description of Resource: The Pasadena Humane Society has taken in over 1,000 animals affected by the Eaton Fire Emergency. They are urgently seeking monetary donations to help purchase medical supplies and other essential resources as they continue to receive a substantial increase in the number of burned and injured animals.

Description of Resource: Sidewalk Project LA is an arts and peer empowerment program to promote wellness for individuals living outdoors. They have been establishing centers to distribute essential supplies.

Description of Resource: The International Community Foundation supports, funds, and connects nonprofits, community leaders, and movement builders addressing critical issues in their regions, primarily in Mexico and Latin America. They have partnered with This Is About Humanity to issue an urgent call for support for front-line and second-line farmworkers, day laborers, essential workers, and families affected by the fires in Los Angeles.

Description of Resource: Watch Duty is a service (not just an app) powered by over 150 volunteers—firefighters, dispatchers, and first responders—who monitor radio scanners and other official sources 24/7 to provide real-time updates. Many Los Angeles residents rely on this service to stay informed.

Their Relief Team is in Southern California to support first responders and families impacted by wildfires in the Los Angeles area.
