A Nonprofit's Bid To Invest Charitable Money In Clean Energy Startups

Nonprofits aren't known to invest in green tech. Some want to fund projects that cut carbon emissions but don't know how to choose promising technology and structure deals. Enter PRIME Coalition, which was formed to fill that knowledge gap and announced on Tuesday its first investment: a startup called Quidnet Energy that uses abandoned oil and gas wells to store energy.
